We Found Our Perfect Athens "Get Away"

Last night Matt got home from class and said we were going for a walk. We drove a tad bit out of town and ended up at Strouds Run State Park. Some fellow members of Matt's cohort had mentioned that it was a nice place to visit. We didn't have super high expectations being it is so close to 'home', and all 'beautiful places' seem to be a good distance away... but guess what? This place really surprised us. It was just so pretty. It helped that it was a perfect fall evening... with my first night in jeans, a beloved scarf and my Northface, it couldn't get much better. We had a fantastic chat as we hiked some trails...and finished this date similarly to our Hocking date... with ice cream!
