APA 6th edition: Pronto Please

So I've finally gotten some papers back from grad school and guess what? I'm a "B" student. Well I've gotten one A too, but also a B and a B+... but I think I might end up just being a B student: and I really would rather be an A student. ugh.

So I made the decision--I'm ordering a hard copy of the APA 6th edition. I don't want anymore citing errors.

I know I'm probably being dramatic, but for whatever reason I find my worth in school, so I feel like not producing an A... is not producing my worth. And I've always had that inferiority to classmates thing going on. I know, I'm being ridiculous, but it's just how I feel and how my brain works. I'll do better next time :)

So this coming weekend is Ohio University Homecoming (here are some pics from last years OU Homecoming). Lots of fun stuff is happening this weekend and the weather looks to be pretty great. Additionally our football team is undefeated, and we truly do have the 'best band in the land'. I see no reason for this not to be a wonderful weekend.

Also, because Matt and I are in the same master's program (he is a year ahead of me), we decided to invite both of our cohorts over to our place for a fall fest get together. This could potentially be 20 some people, so we are extremely excited to host and eat Matt's yummy food with friends while sitting by the fire. I love fall.

Once my Thursday evening rolls around I feel like it's the weekend. My Monday-Thursday are intense, but Friday is glorious. So here's to Thursday nights!

A few more shots from this week of my thrifted clothes:
The button down top in the first picture was thrifted, along with the dress in the second picture. I love me some deals! Only three pictures because I'm pretty sure Tuesday was an incredibly frumpy day, and so not picture worthy, but I was oh so comfy. :)

  1. So sad I'm not going to make it to Athens this weekend. I love Homecoming, but I think it would be too much too soon post-op.

  2. Hey lady! If it makes you feel any better, my Advisor and Mentor always told me, during Grad school and my thesis writing process that the best students are the B students because they are closer to reality. Be encouraged.....don't be too hard on yourself!

  3. OMG I love your blog name, but you need to be kinder to yourself.... re the "B".....(although as a perfectionist myself I totally get it)!!!! Anyway glad I found you on Meet and Mingle Blog Hop. Your style is really cool, and I love thrift looks. I look forward to backtracking your posts. I'm now your newest follower.

  4. I'm sure you'll end up doing just great!
Cute outfits too! I love your freckles. Beautiful. I just bought some maxi skirts finally, after much debate. I'm excited for them to arrive. I'm only 5 ft so I just hope I don't look like I'm drowning.

  5. Ughhhh APA! I have to use that in my class starting tomorrow and I'm stressing. I've never used it! You'd think, as someone with an English degree, that I would know how to use APA. I don't. I've just had MLA shoved down my throat since 9th grade.

A 'B' is still good, girl! I know how you feel though, I would feel the same way. But it's still a solid grade. It might just take some time to get your footing in graduate level classes. I know it will for me!

    Love your outfits!
