Fantastic Moments

My two weeks with my family is coming to an end, and then off to Pittsburgh we go to be with Matt's family. I've had a great time home, the only problem... it's gone too fast.

I was thrilled to see a bit of snow yesterday in my parents front yard: makes it actually feel like winter instead of a sloppy cold fall-feel.

And a few other really wonderful things happened while home. Obviously there's the eating of good food along with laughing and enjoying each others company. I had a visit from my roommate and best friend from college along with her sweet baby girl. I've read a book, I got my grades from my first semester of grad school, I've slept in almost every day, gone to church, stayed in my PJ's all day long and cuddled with my sweet pup. Yep, it's been wonderful!

(I'm not one to brag and I feel silly even posting this, but guess what? I was scared about going back to school. I was worried about being academic again--writing APA style instead of 'blog-style', keeping up with readings and homework, but ya know what? I did it.)

And here is the sweet pup that I've spent some quality time cuddling with. My sweet Moxy has cancer and she doesn't seem to have all that much life left. So all these cuddles have been extra sweet.

One other fantastic moment from my time home comes from my time spent with Ali. If some of you have been around for a while you will know that I hang out with Ali during the summer. We do crazy fun stuff, travel around town and laugh our heads off most of the time. So I knew I wanted to sneak a visit in with her while home. Sam and her baby were in town when we decided to go get Ali, grab some dinner and eat some dessert at an old 50's diner. Turned out to be a perfect night. I just love that girl.
